Dr Galal is a consultant and a conjoint senior lecturer in Obstetrics & Gynaecology. He has a vast experience in all aspects of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and was a consultant/conjoint senior lecturer in his speciality for several years in the UK before coming to Australia.

He is a fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in Australia and New Zealand as well as the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in the UK. He obtained Master’s Degree (M.Sc), Medical Doctorate degree (PhD) in his speciality as well as a Diploma in advanced obstetric ultrasound from the UK.

Dr Galal has a significant involvement with teaching of medical students and training of junior doctors throughout his career and he is an instructor in a number of training courses for doctors, nurses and midwives. 

He supervises medical students and doctors for their honours, masters and PhD degrees. He is involved in medical research and has a number of publications in reputable medical books and journals and for the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in the UK. He was invited as a guest speaker at a number of Universities in Australia, Europe and the United States

Dr Galal runs a comprehensive ultrasound service at Brunker Road Medical Centre and provides Gynaecological and Obstetric consultations.

  • Early and late Pregnancy Scans

  • Nuchal Translucency & Morphology scans, fetal wellbeing scans for singleton and multiple pregnancies

  • Maternal Serum testing for Down’s syndrome (Non Invasive Perinatal Testing, NIPT)

  • Gynaecology scanning for heavy and irregular periods, post-menopausal bleeding and endometrial thickness.

 

He runs specialised clinics for:

 

  • Heavy Periods and irregular bleeding (One stop clinic)

  • Early pregnancy assessment clinic for fetal viability, suspected miscarriage and ectopic pregnancy.

  • Menopause, menopausal disorders and hormone replacement therapy (HRT)
